How Phizer and Moderna Vaccine works

Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines are mRNA vaccines.

They have been working on an mRNA vaccine for almost 20 years.

The clever scientists finally got it all working properly and approved little while back.

A mRNA vaccine is like a message in a bottle. The whole bottle thing is the difficult part of the vaccine. How do you get the message past all the human defenses?

Well, they have figured it out and approved a few of these vaccines and they were in use when Cov-19 hit. So since everything was approved they could just start producing. Since they only had to change the message, very few approval steps were needed.

This is how your immune system is taught a new lesson;

The message bottles get injected.

The bottles go past the defenses of your immune system.

It attaches to one of your cells, and goes in, delivering the mRNA message.

The message floats through your cell until it meets a compatible ribosome

The ribosome processes the message and makes a protein.

When the ribosome processes the message, the message is destroyed.

This protein is the same as the virus has and it goes to the outside of the cell wall where it sticks out.

The message also switches on the cells alarm system which causes the immune system to attack this cell and learn the very important lesson "This protein: bad!"

Now when your immune system sees this protein, it will attack it with furious anger.

So although the mRNA message looks like DNA and is processed in the same way that DNA is processed, none of your own DNA is changed and the message is destroyed when reading it.
